We invite you to attend a Town Hall Meeting that will discuss the transition of what used to be called “Data, AI and Computing” into the new “Future of Computing Institute” (FOCI) and an accompanying MS/PhD program.  The Town Hall Meeting will be held on Wednesday, September 13, at 1 p.m. in the Curtis R. Priem Experimental Media and Performing Arts Center (EMPAC) theater.

FOCI is a “redesigned” campus-wide initiative focused on designing and building the computational fabric of tomorrow by bringing together Rensselaer’s leading researchers from across the disciplines of engineering, physical and social sciences, business, and the humanities. By developing new interdisciplinary courses, the Institute will produce students who will be the leaders in the future of this rapidly evolving technology space.

This meeting will include a short presentation of key plans, an overview of the proposed educational program, and an opportunity for the FOCI leadership to get feedback from the campus community.

Seating will be limited and on a first-come, first-served basis. Light refreshments will be provided following the meeting.

If you are planning to attend, please RSVP

RSVP will be used for refreshment planning and seating availability purposes. Thank you.
